Placements SOP
Placement Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
To ensure a fair, organized, and effective campus recruitment process for students, placement cells, and recruiters.
1. Purpose & Scope
- Purpose: Standardize campus recruitment, student training, and employer outreach to maximize placement rates and maintain professional standards.
- Scope: Applies to the Placement Cell (Training & Placement Department), Faculty Coordinators, Student Volunteers, and all eligible graduating students.
2. Roles & Responsibilities
- Placement Officer (Head): Drives corporate outreach, approves recruitment schedules, and negotiates offer packages.
- Faculty Coordinators: Verify academic eligibility, monitor student attendance, and coordinate department-level updates.
- Student Coordinators: Manage drive logistics, candidate registration, venue setup, and recruiter hospitality.
3. Pre-Placement Process
- Data Verification: Collect and verify student academic records, resumes, and active backlog status.
- Skill Readiness: Conduct mandatory training sessions covering resume writing, aptitude preparation, and mock interviews.
- Recruiter Engagement: Send formal invitation packages, job description forms (JDF), and schedule dates with corporate partners.
4. Placement Drive Execution
- Notification: Announce job details, eligibility criteria, CTC breakdown, and deadline to eligible candidates.
- Selection Workflow: Coordinate pre-placement talks (PPT), online tests, group discussions, and personal interviews.
- Result Declaration: Obtain official selection lists signed by company representatives and publish results promptly.
5. Placement Policy & Code of Conduct
- One Student, One Job Policy: Once a student receives a formal job offer above the baseline threshold, they are de-registered from subsequent drives (unless applying for a designated “Dream Company”).
- Attendance Requirement: Mandatory attendance is required for drives once a student opts in. Unexcused absence results in immediate debarment from the next 2–3 placement drives.
- Professional Conduct: Students must adhere to formal dress codes, carry updated hard copies of resumes, and maintain strict punctuality.
